Two New Pieces Accepted and Coming Your Way in September

I am proud to say that a piece I wrote about philosophy and Star Trek has been accepted by CRIXEO. It was a fun piece to write and kind of grew out of the composition classes I teach at LSU-Baton Rouge. It will appear online at https://www.crixeo.com/ sometime in September.

It's with great delight that I announce my story "Faith Baby" has been accepted in Red Dirt Forum. I'm proud of this story. I feel like it represents the most mature and nuanced story I've ever written. My friend, writer Randolph Thomas, gave me some good feedback when it was still in first draft stage. In addition, Amy Wilson at the Forum gave me the opportunity to put some finishing touches on it. I hope you will check it out when it goes on sale in early September.
